NURSERY MANAGER - LEEDS

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, passionate nursery manager who is looking for career development. This post is suited to a manager or a strong deputy manager who is interested in working for a successful award winning nursery, who will be able to move the nursery forward from a "good" to "outstanding" Ofsted report.

Key responsibilities:

To ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences, appropriate to their age and stage development
To recruit, support, train and appraise all staff to ensure high quality childcare practice and to develop staff teams and individual practitioners.
To actively manage the day-to-day running of the nursery including financial operations
To ensure that all legislation in relation to Ofsted registration, special needs, child protection and health and safety is complied with and that company policies and procedures are adhered to

Must Have:

You should have the ability to manage and lead a staff team with a focused and strong management style
Post qualifying experience in a full day care setting.
Experience as a Nursery Manager or acting up into the position.
A knowledge and understanding of research related childcare and education

Desirable:

Knowledge and understanding of quality performance / Investor In Children (IIC)
A higher level qualification in Early Years Childcare and education/ childcare studies or equivalent
