Deputy Manager needed for this new nursery opening end of April/ beg May in Wandsworth. An exciting opportunity to be working for a nursery from the beginning. this will be a room based deputy position
The successful applicant will be passionate about working in childcare, leading and supporting a team. You will be responsible for the overall day to day running of the Nursery with the Manager.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
§ The day to day running of the nursery
§ To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
§ To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
§ To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with your team reflective of the EYFS
§ To ensure that all the requirements for OFSTED and other legislative bodies are adhered to
§ To ensure all company policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
§ To work in partnership with the parents and provide good customer service
§ To market the nursery effectively to encourage prospective parents
§ To recruit and select staff as when needed together with appraisals of all staff
§ To ensure confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications – you will need to have been qualified for at least 4 years with a minimum -
§ NNEB * BTEC National Diploma * CACHE Dip in Childcare & Education * NVQ level 3 * have achieved or working towards a Degree in Childcare and Early Years Education
With Experience and Skills in
§ Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
§ Good time management skills
§ Good knowledge of health and safety legislation
§ Strong people management skills
§ Flexible and adaptable approach to the job
§ Recruitment, appraisal and performance management of staff
