This is a great position for someone who has the right experience and skills. The Head of the school is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Nurse who has experience working with pre-school age children using the EYFS curriculum. I am looking for someone who has genuine passion and enthusiasm and the want to succeed and be part of a team. You must have excellent EYFS knowledge and have the ability to assist in the progression of the curriculum.

DO YOU HAVE EXCELLENT EYFS EXPERIENCE?

You will be assigned key children and will be responsible for observing their play and interests so you can plan for their next steps. Focused observations will need to be done during small group activities that support children’s numeracy and literacy. You will also be working with children who have English as a second language. Children’s learning journeys will need to be kept up to date with evidence and evaluations/assessments and kept readily available for the parents. You will meet and greet parents in the morning and afternoons and give daily feedback on their children’s achievements and progression.

The school is a well designed modern open-plan building; the foundation stage has recently been refurbished and purposely designed for teaching in early years. The nursery and reception classes work closely together and operate the free flow system for parts of the morning and afternoon sessions which supports the transition between classes. The school is bright and welcoming with excellent displays and positive statements around the corridors.

For this position you will need:
CRB issued within the last 12 months
Strong communication skills
Excellent EYFS knowledge
