Childminding Quality Improvement Partner - One year fixed term contract
Do you have what it takes to promote the highest standards of care and learning for young children? Can you inspire and support others in developing their skills? Are you ready to make childminding a first-choice option for local parents?
Then you’ll fit in perfectly at the National Childminding Association.
As the leading specialist organisation for all aspects of home-based childcare in England and Wales, we are looking for someone with strong Early Years experience to develop the quality and depth of childminding services in the Hounslow area.
A key challenge will be to develop, support and continuously improve registered childminders and home-based childcare providers. Much of the role will be supporting childminders in their own homes to improve the quality of their provision to be at least good, but preferably outstanding. You will also be involved in identifying training needs, planning and delivering training courses and giving childminders the guidance and advice they need to achieve their full potential.
A key element of the role will be leading on the accreditation of childminders. This process confirms the quality of the childminding practice in relation to the requirements of the EYFS and gives childminders access to the 2, 3 and 4 year old funding.
Above all, you will ensure the delivery of highly professional childcare services at all times – monitoring standards, identifying improvements and creating networks that meet the needs of the local childcare market.
This influential role calls for proven and current experience of the early years and childcare sector. Along with a minimum Level 3 qualification in early years or education, you will have a good knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to plan, deliver and monitor training for adults. First-class communication and quality improvement skills are, of course, essential – and your coaching and mentoring skills will be second to none. You must also know how to work in partnership with other agencies. Add to that basic IT skills and the flexibility to travel extensively throughout your area, for which access to a vehicle will be required, and you will soon be making a real difference to our team.
This one-year fixed term contract, working 32 hours per week, carries an attractive range of benefits including 25 days’ annual leave, considerable flexibility, a good work-life balance and the opportunity to manage your own time.
