Hays Education is recruiting for a committed and personable Deputy Nursery Manager to be based at an established Plymouth Nursery. The Nursery has an excellent reputation for providing high quality, flexible childcare for families from the local community. A warm, friendly, family atmosphere is encouraged and they treat every child as an individual to ensure all abilities and needs are catered for. We are looking for a Deputy Manager to make a positive addition to their team.
As the Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Nursery as well as ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children and staff alike. The Nursery is proud of how they manage the transition from Nursery to School, which is why this role is key in implementing and promoting the EYFS's principles, as well as tracking individuals' progress. You will also be responsible for the planning and monitoring of essential policies and procedures within the Nursery.
You must have a passion for working with children, and be able to build effective relationships with children, staff and parents alike. We need a Deputy Manager who is fully aware of the EYFS, motivated to develop the ethos of "for under fives", with the ability to create a welcoming and family friendly environment. You will need a childcare qualification to Level 4 standard and will have previous management experience.
