We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Chef to join our team at our **Brand New Nursery** in Chalfont St Peter. The nursery has been beautifully renovated to a high specification and will be providing the children, parents and local community with a wide variety of services including forest school, French classes and much more.

About you

If you are passionate about food and look forward to sharing delicious, nutritionally balanced family style meals with all age ranges of children then we would love you on our team. You will need to be part of the nursery team and have good communication skills. You will also need to be able to relate to a wide variety of people from our youngest caterpillars right through to our oldest and wisest butterflies. About the role

No day is ever the same working for Hungry Caterpillar. You will be able to plan seasonal menus, taking into account the nursery budget, the foods in season and the dietary and nutritional requirements for children. You will maintain a 5* hygiene and cleanliness rating in the kitchen. You must follow kitchen procedures and maintain records in accordance with Environmental Health and Hungry Caterpillar policies and procedures. You must ensure that the highest standards of health and safety apply to both children, staff, parents and visitors, maintaining a safe and secure environment and preventing cross contamination of food within the kitchen area.

You will need

  • Genuine enthusiasm and passion for shaping the taste buds of future generations.
  • Catering experience within an early years setting or school environment.
