<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>A British nursery in Dubai Marina is looking to hire a full time female British Head teacher / teacher to start on 1st August 2017.</p> <p>Minimum qualification: CACHE Level 5. And 5 years’ experience working with children</p> <p><u>QUALIFICATIONS:</u></p> <p>1-Must meet state licensing qualifications for teacher, 3 units of supervision coursework, preferred · BA or BS, in a subject relating to work with children, preferred./ CACH level 5.</p> <p>2-Must have a minimum of three years’ experience teaching Nursery Age children or Infant/Toddler/Preschool children in a child care setting</p> <p>3-Proven ability to work effectively and professionally with adult staff, parents, and children</p> <p>4- Demonstrated skills in effective communication, both written and verbal</p> <p><u>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></p> <ol> <li>Duties and responsibilities of teacher</li> <li>Oversees day-to-day operation of the classroom; including maintaining a harmonious and efficient work environment, ensuring breaks are taken at appropriate times, daily schedule is followed, etc.</li> <li>Takes the lead with classroom Curriculum – Planning, Implementation and Evaluation, ensures lesson plans, curriculum plans, supply requests, etc., are completed on time. Meets all deadlines.</li> <li>Provides direction, when needed, for teaching staff/subs in classroom.</li> <li>Assists with Families - Orientation and Communication</li> <li>Assists in the maintenance of appropriate standards for children's discipline and behavior standards using non-punitive methods. 7. Assists in maintaining and providing periodic testing of emergency response plan. 8. Continues to develop professional self.</li> <li>Monitors portfolios and reports for all children.</li> <li>Manage the appointment &nbsp;and weekly meetings of teaching and non-teaching staff.</li> <li>Ensure that the progress of children of the school is monitored and recorded and that an effective system is developed for informing parents about their child’s progress.</li> <li>&nbsp;Assist in conducting the daily health and environment checklist;</li> <li>Encourage the development of a culture that offers equality of opportunity to all children and staff.</li> <li>Monitor, review and evaluate the standards of teaching and learning within the school and ensure that proper standards of professional performance are established and maintained</li> <li>Ensure that the requirements for teacher appraisal are implemented and to identify and promote the delivery of the training and development needs of the staff of the school.</li> <li>Deliver pre-service and monthly in-service training sessions to teaching staff.</li> <li>Identify and prioritize materials and equipment needed in classrooms and playgrounds, and coordinate with director in making purchases</li> <li>As a classroom teacher, set an example of excellent nursery practice for other members of staff. Guide, advise and support other members of staff when necessary.</li> </ol>
