Key Person - Early Years
We are looking for enthusiastic, conscientious candidates who have the ability to work as part of a close team in our Rainbow Early Years Unit.
As a Key Person you will support the teacher with the care, development and education of young children. You will ensure the well being, behaviour and personal development of pupils by assisting their learning opportunities and life skills.
We are a unique and vibrant Primary School and Children’s Centre situated on the edge of the famous racecourse. We enjoy a pleasant, large and spacious site with excellent facilities for both indoor and outdoor learning. The Foundation Stage, graded as outstanding by Ofsted at our last inspection, is designed to a high standard to meet the needs of children aged 3-5 before they move into Key Stage 1 & 2. This post is for 35.5 hours per week and term time only.
The full time equivalent salary scale is Surrey Pay Scale S3 £15,308.00 - £17,316.00 dependent upon experience. For the hours & term time weeks worked this equates to an annual salary of between £12,185.06 and £13,783.41. This salary is averaged and paid over the normal working year which means that you are salaried during the school holiday weeks that you are not working. This method of pay is called ‘spread over’ pay.
The position will include organising self registration of the children in your group, caring for the children’s pastoral needs to ensure they feel safe and cared for. You will be building sound relationships with the parents of the children in your group as there is day to day contact with parents and carers. Included in the hours is time for organising and maintaining the learning environment and the Rainbow Unit’s wonderful and extensive resources.
