Salary up to £20,500 per annum, dependent on experience, inclusive of bonus

We are recruiting for a dynamic and passionate Senior Nursery Nurse at our fantastic purpose-built Children’s Nursery in Stanmore. The role is an ideal opportunity to join a growing organisation at an exciting time.
The Nursery is due to open in October 2017 and the organisation is seeking a Senior Nursery Nurse to assist the Room leader and Senior Team from September 2017, in the pre-opening stages and beyond as the nursery opens.
The Nursery is the 4th in an expanding group, following the considerable success of the company’s first three Nurseries in North West London and Watford. The new purpose-built setting is located in Stanmore Place in the Business and Innovation Centre which is situated within beautifully designed surroundings. This is an ideal location with great links to local public transport such as the Jubilee and Northern line.
The Nursery is designed to the highest specification and will be a unique and exciting nursery to work in with state of the art resources and modern interactive LCD computer screens and technology. The nursery is a bright and blissful place to be which is accompanied by natural objects and resources which makes it a one of a kind nursery.
We are looking for a qualified Senior Nursery Nurse (Level 3 or above only) to join our friendly team, you must have experience working with children within Early Years, be enthusiastic and display excellent knowledge of the EYFS.
The successful candidate must be able to observe, plan and track children’s learning and development effectively. To show good time management skills when completing learning journals and completing daily reports. All staff need to be able to show good grammar and use good pronunciation when speaking to parents and other members of team or external agencies.
As a Senior Nursery Nurse, you need to be able to give support to your team members and work well within a team, have excellent communication skills and be able to create strong bonds with your key children and their parents.
The Senior Nursery Nurse will need to ensure the smooth running of the learning room in the Room Leader’s absence, ensuring that each team member is given the required support, development and coaching to maintain competence.
You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year post qualifying experience in a large nursery setting.
- Clear DBS
- Understanding of play based approach to children’s learning and development
- An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Knowledge of child protection procedures
- Passion for working with children
- Strong communication skills: written and verbal
- Good timekeeping and organisational skills
- To be able to work and lead a team effectively.
- An enthusiastic, flexible, can do attitude.
