We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to help lead our team at our Noah’s Ark Children’s Centre Nursery, which joined the LEYF family on June 11th 2011, one of our brand-new nurseries opened and developed by LEYF! Their last Ofsted inspection in November 2015 rated them as ‘outstanding.’ It is a large nursery with an occupancy capacity of 54 FTE. The nursery has 3 rooms and has 2 outdoor spaces for the children.

What do you need to have to be considered for this position?
You will be required to hold a full and relevant child care qualification at level 3 or above. Post qualified experience in a group setting working with babies/ 2-5 year olds and supervising staff is essential and demonstrable knowledge and experience of the EYFS and ability to operate and run a nursery based on the areas is also essential. You will have strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding and the ability to take the lead when required. You will work directly with the Nursery Manager to ensure procedures are adhered to, ensure the nursery consistently promotes positive behaviour, self-control and independence in the children. You will also be required to manage and develop the nursery team and undertake administrative and IT activities of the nursery including collection of fees, nursery database, purchasing and receipts.
