Development Manager

Flexible Childcare Services Scotland, FCSS, is an exciting and innovative new Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) with offices based in central Edinburgh and services located across the country.

FCSS has been created to challenge the inflexibility of current childcare provision across the country and to ensure equity of early years’ and childcare experience for all children regardless of background.

To do this we have designed a trilogy of services including direct delivery, a support package for providers adopting a more flexible model and an accreditation scheme.

We are now seeking a Development Manager for our innovative support package. The ideal candidate will:

• have childcare/care sector management experience
• understand product development
• have strong I.T skills
• be a great communicator
• be able to work on own initiative and as part of a small but powerful team
• be passionate about children’s services and driven to deliver equitable access to services for all
• have budget management experience

They should also be able to think differently and challenge the “but that’s the way we’ve always done it” thinkers? We’re a lean management team who support each other in achieving our shared goals and individual targets and we’re all ready to muck in and do what’s needed to get the job done.
