This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work in newly opened British Nursery in China, where we focus on encouraging children to learn through fun and engaging play.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking people who are passionate about childcare to join our team of staff as a senior practitioner. Work in partnership with the Manager and Deputy to ensure the daily running of the nursery; you will build relationships with children and parents and be involved fully in nursery life.

Day to Day Task include:

  • Working as part of a team and using your initiative and imagination to generate new ideas
  • Using your excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with parents, children and welcome visitors to the Nursery Looking after children of all ages
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating a curriculum appropriate to age and individual needs of the children ensuring the room layout supports these aims
  • Assisting nursery promotion events & party
  • Coaching support, mentoring and supervision the new staff team inspires and leads ambitious practice.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach and adaptability & undertake other duties as required from time to time.
  • Working a flexible shift pattern within the opening hours (8am-6:30pm).
  • Willing to work in weekend & nursery parent's evenings as appropriate

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years childcare experience
  • A NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
  • A good understanding of the EYFS and to be able to use this to plan activities for the children
  • Awareness of planning, observing and record keeping for young children and the ability to link these to the individual child needs.
  • Enhanced D.B.S Check
