This nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and are looking to expand the team with early years workers who share this commitment. The vibrant, home-from-home setting is looking for a fun, enthusiastic and hard-working professional level 3 nursery practitioner to join their team.

Main responsibilities:

• Support and monitor the statutory framework and curriculum in England to ensure each child develops within a stimulating environment

• Offer regular creative ideas and recommendations to your Room Leader and/or management to encourage a wide and varied programme of activities for the children individually and as a group, appropriate to their needs and developmental stage in line with Early Years Foundation Stage framework

• Act as a key person for a group of children as allocated by the management team, ensuring attachment theories are respected

• Have a sound knowledge of all the children in the setting and an excellent knowledge of your key children

• Fill in all the appropriate record keeping for your key children and ensure they are continually up to date

• Work in partnership with parents, consulting and sharing information with them about the needs and progress of their children

• Participate in parents meetings (minimum of 2 per year) for your key children, ensuring all relevant record keeping is completed to an exceptional standard to support these meetings

• Support your room leader in regularly displaying children’s work and make suggestions for these displays; boards should be updated every 4 weeks with new material relevant to the children’s’ creative activities

• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the cleaning rota and support colleagues in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the nursery

• Demonstrate an enthusiasm for researching and implementing new ideas, utilising various resources to support new and exciting suggestions for the nursery and children


  • Motivated, enthusiastic & energetic who is passionate about childcare
  • Minimum Level 3 qualified in childcare
  • Experienced in a nursery setting
  • Able to display excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Able to display great interpersonal skills and a team player attitude

This will be a permanent, full time position. You will be working 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
