The Role:
As a nursery officer at the Alan Green Nursery, you will provide a range of high quality integrated childcare services for children aged 2-5 years, which will foster and nurture their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development by a structure programme. You will work as part of a friendly and diverse team in supporting the Nursery in continuing to provide excellent childcare whilst ensuring you are motivated and driven by the rewards of working within a childcare.

The Alan Green Nursery prides itself on our child-centred ethos in partnership with parents/carers and other key organisations, ensuring compliance with legislation and OFSTED. You will be responsible for the safety and well being of the children in your care, as well as creating a positive learning environment ensuring each child is given the best possible care.

The Person:

You will be a qualified childcare practitioner with sound understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and experienced in working with young children and babies. 

In addition you will have:

  • Childcare and Education qualification equivalent to NVQ L2 or 3 (NNEB,CACHE Diploma, BTEC)
  • Knowledge of the EYFS and Safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to plan and organise your own workload
  • Previous experience with children 0-5 years
  • A high level administrative, communication and organisational skills
  • Experience in providing a caring, safe, socially inclusive and educational nursery environment
