Tree Tops Nursery

Deputy Manager and additional Nursery Nurses / Nursery Practitioners

We are looking to recruit an experienced Deputy Manager and additional Nursery Practitioners at this expanding nursery that was awarded, ‘Good’ by Ofsted last year.  Treetops Nursery was originally run by Brent council and in 2012 we took over the nursery to run as a private venture. Please note, this nursery is not part of the ‘Treetops’ chain of nurseries.  The existing premises are purpose-built and very well equipped. The building is very unique and has to be seen, to be appreciated.

The nursery has a highly sought after reputation and very high occupancy levels.  Due to the success of the nursery, we are in the process of expanding nursery size premises.  We have an area manager who will be providing an extra ‘layer’ of support over the manager who has trained with ‘Forest School’.  We have a large animal enclosure with chickens and animals in our large outdoor areas.  We also plan to start implementing Forest School education to the children.

We, as the owners are both medical doctors and thus have an understanding of the importance of the Early Years experience. We therefore do our best to create institutions of excellence.

We are therefore looking to create an exceptional and permanent team to help with this ever-expanding nursery.

Our ideal candidate is someone who strives for no less than perfection and has the drive and motivation to make Treetops Nursery an institute of excellence.

The duties of a Deputy will include:

• Assisting the manager and area manager in the daily running and administration tasks of the Nursery.
• Providing direction and supervision to the Nursery team to motivate quality childcare.
• Allowing for outstanding communication with parents and other members of the public
• Ensuring all typical policies and documentation are up to date and of a high standard as per OFSTED requirements.
• To effectively manage the budget and occupancy levels to ensure the nursery is profitable

The key attributes of a Deputy Manager include:

• Having excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Having an excellent understanding of child development and EYFS.
• Being NVQ qualified at level 3 or 4
• Have a full understanding of OFSTED standards and criteria.
• Ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Strong people management skills with ability to motivate staff.

  • SENCO experience would be highly desirable.

Essential Experience and qualifications to apply for Nursery Nurse:

• Minimum Level 2/3 qualification or equivalent
• Understanding of EYFS
• Excellent communication skills
• Good leadership skills
• Above average teamwork abilities

Our main goals are to provide exceptional levels of care and stand out as being the best nursery in the area. In return, we offer an attractive salary package with incentives. We also encourage and support personal development of our staff.

The closest stations would be Willesden Junction tube and mainline.
