Full Time
Contract Type

Basis: Full time and permanent

Salary: Individual school range L12-L18 outer London (£52,628 - £60,525)

Start date: July/September 2018

Following the departure of our Headteacher, the children, staff and governors at our outstanding and welcoming nursery school would like to appoint a replacement.

Windham is a maintained nursery school in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, providing an exciting and stimulating learning environment, driven by its vision ‘Play, learn and have fun at Windham’. The school’s excellence in both its mainstream nursery (78 children aged 3 to 4, 24 children aged 2 to 3) and specialist provision for young children with social and communication disorders has been repeatedly recognised as ‘outstanding’.

We are looking for an energetic leader with excellent knowledge of early years practice and child development, who will continually inspire and motivate staff to provide outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will network with other settings to develop further our outreach work and to spread Windham's expertise, values and practice beyond our walls.

We offer you an inspiring, diverse, friendly environment, where everyone develops an enquiring mind and love of learning.  Driven by excellence, we are supported by a vibrant local community that truly values education. This is a challenging and rewarding position and will build upon Windham’s 70-year history to lead the school into the future.

We welcome visits of potential applicants – to arrange this or for copies of our recruitment pack please contact Charlotte Mayers, School Business Manager, on 020 8831 6151 or email cmayers@windham.richmond.sch.uk.

Closing date for applications:                  Wednesday 25th April 2018 at noon

Interviews:                                                         Thursday 10 May 2018

Windham Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
