THE REGIONAL MANAGER ROLE

Regional Managers are a critical part of our new management model to provide a proactive team capable of dealing with operational risk management both now and in the future as the company expands.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Childcare & Learning Group is moving to a new operating model for our service delivery. To strengthen our general management and auditing of the operational functions, the senior management team will be expanded from the existing one to three Regional Managers.

The new roles of the Regional Managers are a critical part of this model to provide a proactive team capable of dealing with operational risk management both now and in the future as the company expands.

Strategy going forward is that the company’s nurseries will be divided into 3 regional groups, (Groups 1,2,& 3) consisting of approximately 5 nurseries per group.

These settings will be located in London, Guildford and West Sussex.

Each Regional Manager will manage a specific group on a daily basis and also be assigned specific corporate duties for the whole of the company such as, recruitment programs, disciplinary procedures, training etc.

The Regional managers will rotate from group to group every six months.

In addition to their daily duties they will take an organisational leadership role in setting the appropriate standards, embedding best practice and leading communities of practice across the organisation.

Reporting to and working closely with the Operations Manager, the post-holder is responsible for managing the performance of a diverse range of operational services and staff to optimise the company’s ability to deliver quality childcare, within agreed budget and legislative frameworks.

• To lead the planning, development and delivery of effective, efficient and sustainable services across the region, realising our strategic aims and ensuring the maximum positive impact on the children and parents.

• Leading a “community of good practice” across the organisation

• Ensure that people, financial and customer service performance is delivered in line with budgets and key performance indicators

• To initiate, develop and maintain effective external facing relationships to enhance the company’s

profile and brand across the region.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. To lead the planning, development and delivery of effective, efficient and sustainable services across the region, realising our strategic aims.

2. Ensure that people, financial and customer service performance is delivered in line with budgets and key performance indicators

3. To initiate, develop and maintain effective external facing relationships to enhance the company’s profile and brand across the region, gaining opportunities to have a positive impact on more people

In addition to these responsibilities, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Must be a committed team player, who leads by example and isn’t frightened to get hands on and

involved in all functions of childcare.

• A firm but fair disciplinarian with an attention to detail and a tenacious approach to resolving issues.

• A pragmatic approach to problem solving.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

A full UK driving Licence is required and applicants must be willing to travel to all regional areas within the nursery group as and when required.
