Nursery Practitioner - Must have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in order to be considered for the position. Experience of working in a nursery setting and knowledge of the revised EYFS.
Salary: £17,500.00 and above depending on qualification and experience.
Nursery Apprentice – opportunity to work in a highly sought after nursery towards a recognised childcare qualification. Previous experience desireable but not essential.
Salary: at least 10% higher than the national apprenticeship rate.
We are also seeking to recruit full time and term time only level 3 qualified nursery practitioners to work in our baby rooms, toddler rooms and pre-school rooms. The Nurseries are located in Custom House and Stratford in East London. As established settings in Newham, we have supported many of our staff during their apprenticeship towards gaining the level 2 or 3 in childcare with apprentices then being taken on as staff members.
The role involves:
Maintaining high standards in delivering the revised EYFS to help the children progress according to their developmental needs.
Working as part of a team as a key person in a caring and nurturing environment.
Working in partnership with parents and other external professionals to meet the varied needs of the children.
Qualifications and experience:
No previous childcare qualifications required for the nursery apprentice.
Must have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in order to be considered for the nursery practitioner position.
Recent experience of working in a nursery setting.
Up to date knowledge and understanding of the revised EYFS.
You will need to have a good command of spoken and written English.
An enhanced DBS check will be carried out. All new staff will be required to sign up to the update service.
Previous training, for example in paediatric first aid, safeguarding, SEN, food hygiene, health and safety and first aid at work are advantageous.
