Our lovely Client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to join their growing team. You should be an excellent team player, able to follow instruction whilst also using your initiative. This role is a combination of Office and Floor Based Duties. 

This private-owned Nursery is in an easily accessible location, and offers an open setting with a large outdoor play area for the children, and a private staff room and kitchen facilities for employees.  They take pride in ensuring a happy, enthusiastic work environment at all times. 

Hours: 40 hours/ wk, Monday – Friday, on a rota basis (7.30-18.30)

Salary: £25,000-28,000/ annum dependent on experience

Duties will include

• Working closely with the Nursery Manager to implement all policies and procedures

• Deputising in the Manager’s absence

• Working in partnership with the Nursery Manager and room leaders to ensure the smooth running of the setting

• Assisting in the day to day running and responsibilities of the nursery, working flexible to support the team wherever needed

• Working in partnership with parents/ guardians and building positive relationships with families

• Promoting and encouraging a stimulating environment for children

• Monitoring all staff, mentoring and supporting their development and managing any issues

• Supporting the Nursery Manager in the recruitment process

Essential Experience

• CACHE level 3,NNEB, NVQ level 3 or equivalent

• 1 year’s Deputy Manager experience

• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS

• Excellent organisational skills

• Knowledge of health and safety legislation

• Knowledge of Ofsted's welfare standards

• People management skills is a must with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team


 Desirable Experience

• Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene 

• Level 2 in Health & Safety
