About the setting:
Our South Bermondsey nursery joined the LEYF family in March 2016. Rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, South Bermondsey is a 104-place nursery for children aged 0-5 years old, comprising of 5 rooms with an outdoor space for the children and is open 51 weeks of the year. Children share access to a secure, enclosed outdoor play area and experience high quality learning and real life experiences. Equality and diversity and promoted purposefully through well planned activities that help children learn about cultures and beliefs. The Nursery has a garden and the children can often be found out and about the children can often be found out and about exploring the local community.
About the role:
Our South Bermondsey Community Nursery is looking for qualified and inspiring nursery room leader, who is passionate about working with Toddler room. We are seeking for a room leader who is organised and robust; able to lead and adapt to the nursery’s culture and environment and able to give the toddler room their full attention.
Requirement for the role:
As a qualified nursery practitioner, you need a full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification and up; this may include NNEB or equivalent. Experience of working within the Baby/Toddler/Preschool rooms is highly desirable. Able to demonstrate your knowledge of the EYFS and embrace our LEYF Pedagogy. You must be able to lead by example and tap into the capabilities of your team by recognising their strengths and helping them improve their weaknesses. Strong communication is essential and embedding the LEYF values.

Our LEYF team will support you to work per our unique LEYF Pedagogy whilst developing your skills and knowledge throughout your career with us. You will have access to our excellent training and development programme where you will undertake at least four professional development days minimum per year. 23 days’ annual leave plus an additional 3 days over Christmas. 50% discount on childcare costs at one of our 38 London Nurseries. 7% employer contribution pension.
