Baby Room Leader - Southall (UB1 2AS)

 

 

 

Our client’s nursery is looking for a permanent, term time level 3 room leader for their baby room.

 

 

 

Established since 1996 and family run the nursery provides a safe and caring environment to help children to develop a sense of self-worth, confidence to help them relate to other children and adults.

 

 

 

The Position will be joint room leader with another level 3 who does most of the admin.

 

 

 

Must have SEN Knowledge and preferably have safeguarding knowledge.

 

 

 

£10.00 per hour

 

 

 

10.00am – 6.30pm daily.

 

 

 

Immediate start.

 

 

 

As the Baby unit room leader, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the baby unit.  You will oversee and implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum to ensure the setting is providing a high standard of physical, social, and intellectual care for children aged between three months and two years.  You will also work closely with the Manager/Owners of the nursery to ensure the setting is meeting Ofsted National Standards for the day care providers.

 

 

 

Duties to include.

 

 

 

Creating a caring, safe and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play Running the Baby unit in line with environmental, health and safety and fire safety regulations. Supervising the planning of activities following the early years foundation stage curriculum to meet the needs of all children. Planning and supervising activities using the Early year foundation stage Helping children to learn through activities and play Reading stories and providing other activities to develop language skills Observing, tracking, assessing and planning for the individual needs of children Being aware of health and safety in the environment to keep children safe Working closely with parents and exchanging information on their child’s development Reporting any concerns about the safe-guarding/child protection of children Attending to the physical needs of children such as toileting, changing nappies, feeding and bathing babies. Completing two-year-old checks on all children transitioning to Toddler rooms, and sharing information with parents. Researching, Organising, and running fund raising events and cultural events. Supervising and directing staff in baby unit of their daily duties. Attending meetings and training events as required by your manager.  

 

Candidates must hold a level 3 childcare qualification and have previous room leader experience.  SEN qualifications and Nominated safeguarding person required.
