Our client is a well-established and respected and beautiful private day nursery close to Tooting & Mitcham is looking to  recruit an experienced Room Leader to join their friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

·         Day to day running of their designated room.

·         Overseeing a team of Practitioners and helping to ensure that their jobs are done to the highest possible standard.

·         Planning games and activities for the children to participate in.

·         Keeping parents informed of their child’s progress as well as any key events or changes regarding the nursery

·         To provide for the safety and well-being of children

·         To model good practice to staff and provide individual/group supervision of play staff and any trainees. 

·         To ensure that all policies and procedures within the nursery are adhered to. . 

·         To be responsible for the line management of other staff in the room. 

·         To ensure that effective health and safety procedures are carried out in the room. 

Essential requirements

·         A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare

·         Experience of working within a senior nursery position

·         Room Leader or Acting Room Leader experience

·         A good knowledge of the EYFS
