Nursery Manager

A private day nursery in Kingston is looking for a Nursery Manager to run their large, popular and busy setting. The nursery is easily commutable from Croydon, Sutton, Clapham and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a Nursery Manager with over 5 years managerial experience of working within a private nursery setting who is able to work full time Monday to Friday.

An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements is essential as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team. You must deliver to a very high standard of childcare by hand-on-involvement.

Some of your responsibilities as a Nursery Manager will include:

* To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
* To effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
* To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculum are implemented and adhered to at all times
* To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends
* To effectively manage the occupancy levels/ ratios
* To manage all day to day operations of the nursery

* We require a person who is energetic, enthusiastic, imaginative, happy, able to work on their own initiative, have excellent communication skills with staff and parents and experience of dealing with confidential issues and problem-solving. In order to be considered for the position of Nursery Manager you will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

* NVQ Level 3 or above
* Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
* Knowledge of OFSTED standards and experience with OFSTED inspections
* Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/ SENCO etc.

Management experience is essential running a nursery either Ofsted rated GOOD or OUTSTANDING,
