Are you a qualified and experienced Nursery Practitioner interested in a new and exciting challenge?  Then we are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our busy Play Services Team to lead the way in providing early year’s education to our young patients.  (Banding is dependent on qualification level, skills and experience).

We have joined together with Piggles Trust to make sure our young patients do not miss out on their education, whilst also allowing parents some much needed respite. You will be someone who is dynamic, has the ability to work as part of a team, be able to use your initiative and time-manage your day effectively.   You must hold a relevant Early Years Qualification to at least a level 3 full diploma (Level 5/ 6 preferred). 

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated early year’s practitioner to join our team, to work across all ages, from 2 to 5 years. You need to be outgoing, highly motivated, adaptable and work well in a team.   You will have excellent communication skills in communicating both with the multidisciplinary team and the children, and their families admitted or attending the ward and other areas of the hospital, maintaining confidentiality throughout.  You must be able to accurately document the work you do in the medical notes (where appropriate) and Service Documentation as well as being flexible with day to day requirements of both your patients and the hospital areas you visit.

Applicants must have minimum three years post qualification experience of working with young children in an early year’s environment delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).  Experience of meeting the individual needs of young children and their families; demonstrate a passion and commitment for providing quality care and learning opportunities.

The role involves being a key person for a group of children; building relationships; being an inspiration to the children; supporting attachment building; planning activities; carrying out observations; assessing children and supporting growth and development.
