Nursery Manager

New Hall School has an exceptional opportunity for a motivated, knowledgeable and experienced Nursery Manager to lead and develop this new provision.  The New Hall School Nursery, opening in September 2019, will be located in brand new, purpose-built premises that provide a safe, modern and inspirational environment.  The Nursery will form an integral part of the School, with many of the children continuing through into the Preparatory Divisions.  It will extend New Hall’s current age range by offering provision for 1-3 year olds for the first time.  The Nursery will also incorporate our well-established provision for 3-4 year olds, where staff are committed to delivering an engaging and effective educational experience allowing pupils to reach their full potential.  A broad curriculum, including Music, Dance, Physical Education and Forest School brings out the gifts and talents in all pupils. 

The successful candidate will have a proven track-record in delivering outstanding childcare and education to families within their care and offer strong leadership to all members of their team.  Candidates will be passionate about delivering inspirational Early Years provision and demonstrate a strong work ethic with uncompromising commitment to achieving the highest standards at all times.

The Nursery Manager will be fully responsible for the operational management of the setting, with the support of our HR, Finance and Marketing departments. The Nursery Manager reports to the Principal, but is expected to work autonomously in relation to the day-to-day management of the Nursery.  The role requires the confidence to make day-to-day decisions thoughtfully and with a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of children and family.

The Nursery will be open between 7.30am and 6.30pm and will provide care and education for approximately 60 children. The successful candidate will work 45 hours per week, in conjunction with the Deputy Nursery Manager, to cover these hours, but be expected to offer flexibility as required. 

The salary range for this role is between £37,045- £42,965pa (at September 2018 rates).
