Level 3 Nursery Nurse 

Sommerville Day Nursery is based in Lewisham, South-East London. We are currently looking for an experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our setting. You will be working on a full time basis as part of a friendly, vibrant nursery with modern facilities and a great staff team. We cater for children aged 6 months to 5 years old.

We are a 5 minute walk away from Lewisham Station, the DLR and Lewisham Shopping Centre, which is central to many bus routes. The DLR runs from the city of London to Lewisham, which makes it ideal for workers travelling from the city.

Applicants will need the following qualifications, training and experience:

• NVQ Level 3, NNEB, Cache Level 3 or equivalent qualification
• 2 Years relevant experience working in a nursery setting looking after children aged 6 months to 5 years old
• To plan engaging and exciting activities in line with the EYFS, taking into consideration the children’s individual needs and interest.
• Experience as a key person – completing children’s observations, planning and next steps, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding children obligations
• Good working knowledge of EYFS framework
• Thorough knowledge of Ofsted standards and procedures and be able to take part in Ofsted inspections and early years visits and monitoring.
