Nursery Educator/Practitioner with Gardening Expertise

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in the outdoors and gardening for our nurseries.

You would be responsible for managing the garden space/courtyard areas and encouraging teachers and children to produce outcomes relating to Froebel’s principles of Life, Beauty and Knowledge. This role involves giving the children a deep understanding of engaging with nature.

About Us

We at Linden Tree Nursery Schools can offer a fantastic opportunity for you to join our dedicated and diverse team within our Froebelian Nursery School for children aged 0-5 years. You will already be an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Educator.

We are a private family company which operates three children’s nursery schools, each with the benefit of their own gardens, all of which are located in South London. All our nurseries have been newly renovated inside and out with a natural effect garden for children to grow and develop through the Froebelian approach.

We already have a team of hardworking, ambitious and friendly Educators with a great sense of humour that help us each day achieve a wonderful learning experience for children, family and staff.

As a company running nurseries for 13 years, we are able to offer extremely competitive pay, based on experience and qualification with additional performance related bonus. We also pride ourselves on staff professional development and encourage growth and promotion within the company. We are always looking for motivated staff at all role levels to grow our team and welcome new ideas and skills.

We are open 51 weeks of the year, closed on Bank Holidays and a week over Christmas.

Our opening hours are 8am until 6.30 pm Monday to Friday


Salary: Up to £22,000 p/a DoE

Holiday: 33 days per year including Bank Holidays

Contractual hours: 40 hours per week plus paid lunch break


You must have a qualification in Early Years and/or Education and Child Care

You must want to problem solve and daily strive to think outside the box for future educational development within our nurseries

Must have the right to work in the UK, no convictions and cautions, with a clear DBS
