A private Ofsted day nursery in Wandsworth are looking for an experienced, passionate Nursery Manager who possesses the ability to work in a challenging, fast moving environment to join an established team.  This nursery is easily commutable from East Croydon, Streatham, Battersea and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will be joining a well-established nursery with a dedicated team of staff. You will motivate and lead a team by delivering outstanding practice by working side by side with the practitioners, whilst working as a manager to ensure the effective development and daily management of the nursery.

The Nursery Manager role will include:

  • Overseeing the daily running of the Nursery, working with the children when needed
  • Ensuring all local authorities & Ofsted requirements are met, as well as working with the local authority.
  • Monitoring and implementing high quality provision according to EYFS
  • Staff recruitment/appraisals and performance management.
  • Staff training and development.
  • Liaise closely with parents to ensure a high level of involvement and customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Marketing and selling the Nursery.
  • Finance
  • Increasing occupancy levels.

Job Details for Nursery Manager position:

You will be required to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am - 7pm on shift rota basis.

It will be a full time permanent role subject to a successful probationary period.

Essential Requirements of Nursery Manager position:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification with at least 2 years’ experience of working in an early years setting, or have at least two years’ other suitable experience.
  • Undertaken and completed an Ofsted inspection as part of management receiving a Good or Outstanding rating.
  • Excellent communication skills and organisation skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, innovative, energetic and able to motivate and lead others.
  • Strong people management skills and leadership.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Statutory Framework.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Paediatric First Aid.
  • Safeguarding designated person
  • Knowledge of SEND
