Nursery Room Leader

A private day nursery in Haywards Heath are currently looking for a Nursery Room Leader to join their established and friendly team.  The nursery is easily commutable from Burgess Hill, Uckfield, Crawley and surrounding areas.

As a Nursery Room Leader you must be qualified to a minimum NVQ level 3 in Early Years, with experience of working with children aged 0 - 5yrs within a nursery environment. 

The ideal candidate for the Nursery Room Leader position will be required to meet the following:

• Be passionate about childcare
• Be enthusiastic, inspirational, and ready for a challenge
• Demonstrate a nurturing personality which will support our children and their families
• Can lead a passionate team of childcare practitioners to deliver high quality childcare
• Can demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, and legislation including Safeguarding and Health and Safety
• Has experience in developing children and their learning, recording observations, documenting assessments and compiling children's profiles according to their individual needs.
• Can create a stimulating, safe and caring environment.
• Can promote high standards in physical, emotional, social and intellectual care.
• Can liaise with children, families, staff and other professionals.
• Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Can lead a staff team to deliver high quality practice within the nursery
• Can support the management team with their management duties

The ideal candidate for the Nursery Room Leader position will need to have a flexible approach to working hours as shifts operate between the hours of 7.30am - 6pm.

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
