Hours: Full Time (Between 7:30am – 6:00pm)

Job Purpose:

To work as a senior member of the nursery team to ensure that all children in your care receive high quality care and education, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences that meet their individual needs. As a senior you will be expected to be a positive role model to other members of the team.

Requirements and qualifications of a Senior Nursery Nurse

  • Level 3 Qualification or above; CACHE, BTEC or NVQ in childcare
  • Experience at a more senior level (Room Leader)
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal   
  • Ideally you must live within a 20-minute commutable distance
  • Understanding of play based approach to children’s learning and development
  • An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • To be able to display consistent good practise and work in a positive manner.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • To have had experience with children aged 1-5 years.
