Experienced KS1 (Kindergarten) Class Teacher

Double Decker Bilingual PreSchool & Kindergarten (German & English), a prestigious school in Switzerland, is looking for a dedicated and hardworking KS1 (Kindergarten) Class Teacher who brings fun, enthusiasm and best practice strategies to the classroom.

Required Qualifications

  • Relocation to Zurich Switzerland required
  •  Certification as a KS1 (Kindergarten) Teacher:  QTS with induction period
  • Nature Educator certification a plus, but not essential
  • Strong working knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage, reflected by relevant experience
  • Native English speaker
  • EU citizenship or Swiss work permit
  • A proven record of excellent teaching, teamwork and leadership qualities
  • Passionate, empathetic, positive and organised  -  all qualities that are celebrated at this school

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a Kindergarten group of 3-6 year olds in collaboration with a German-speaking counterpart.
  • Assuming key responsibilities including observing and planning for children's needs, tracking children's progress, and providing exciting and stimulating activities based on each child’s next steps. 
  • Providing specific assistance/aid in the English language for targeted children.
  • Planning parent-teacher conferences (English) in collaboration with team members.
  • Conducting after-school activities.
  • Focusing on the overall well being of each child.

Start Date:               August 2019

Salary per Annum: £42,200 - £46,500 Gross
