Deputy Manager

We are looking for a Deputy Manager for a small day nursery in Abingdon. As a Deputy Manager with the responsibilities of a Room Leader, you must have a good knowledge of the EYFS and have the ability to follow EYFS and Ofsted guidelines and maintain high standards within the nursery. You need to have the ability to effectively observe for children's individual needs and encourage your team to reach the same high standards. You need to be proactive in supporting the nursery manager in the day to day management of the nursery and staff and need to take lead in the Health and Safety and support the Nursery Manager in quality control at all levels. You need to have the ability to deal with enquires and have excellent communication skills with children, parents and staff as well as external agencies.

The successful candidate must be qualified in Level 3 or above in Early Years. You must have had a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in childcare and be experienced in a Room Leader role. It would be desirable for the candidate to hold valid full Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene certificates and to have experience in participating in Ofsted inspections. Any other required training could be obtained through us.
