Deputy Manager
Hove Village is Brighton and Hove’s Creative Day Nursery and we are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our expanding team and lead our pre-school department.
WE WILL ONLY CONSIDER APPLICANTS WITH A MINIMUM OF LEVEL 3 IN CHILDCARE & EARLY YEARS EDUCATION (EARLY YEARS TEACHER STATUS AN ADVANTAGE)

The successful candidate will have robust knowledge of the EYFS, good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. The individual must be highly-motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children and be ready to lead a team of staff in the room.
Starting Salary - £22,000 to £25,000 depending on experience.
Duties Include:
- Lead a team of staff in the room
- Act as 2nd in charge of the setting and assist in opening and closing duties
- Employ the highest standard of support in the nursery
- Responsible for key children
- Responsible for observations
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with staff, pupils and parents.
- Observing, monitoring and recording all children's development
- Undertake relevant paperwork
Requirements:
Essential: three years childcare experience and qualifications must include a level 3 qualification in early years education. Early Years Teacher Status an advantage.
Nursery opening hours: Open 51 weeks a year (we close over Christmas and New Year), Monday - Friday (7:30 - 18:30) Shifts will be within these hours
