Pre-school Deputy Manager

Term Time Only

4 Days a week (8am-4pm) Salary: £13-15k

A term-time opportunity has arisen for a confident, committed and highly motivated individual with management experience. We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our ‘outstanding’ Pre-school in Fetcham, Surrey.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and highly respected team who are truly at the heart of the local community.

We are looking to employ a Deputy Manager with experience, fresh energy and ideas, to join our welcoming and highly respected team and well-established Pre-school.

The Pre-school Deputy Manager will mentor staff, oversee the quality of care and learning they provide to children, support the manager for planning the curriculum in line with EYFS framework and track the progress of the children.  They will understand the importance of building strong parent / carer and other Pre-school stakeholder partnerships.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 or 4 Childcare qualification or higher and at least two years recent and proven experience in an EYFS setting, with experience of managing staff in a Deputy or Manager capacity.  They will be an excellent role model and will uphold outstanding care and education for all children aged from 2.5 to 4 years.

Applicants must have a good understanding of safeguarding and how children and families can be supported as part of the early intervention agenda. Candidates will be confident to write and review child development reports, recording and tracking progress using IT systems. Ideally, they will also be familiar with some of the admin elements of running an EYFS setting.

The position has responsibility for overseeing the day to day operation of the Pre-school in the manager’s absence.
