EXPERIENCED RECEPTIONIST 

Salary £21,944.00 (£10.55ph London Living Wage) to 23,400.00 (£11.25ph) depending on experience.

We would consider a full-time position (8am-6pm five days a week), part-time (8am-2pm or 2pm-6pm) or a job share 2-3 days per week (8am-6pm).

We are looking for an experienced receptionist who is seeking a long-term position at our family run Nursery and Preschool in Streatham. 

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working alone on our reception desk, be extremely reliable, committed and have an excellent attendance record.  You should be available to start work as soon as possible and possess an excellent telephone manner, professional appearance and be a confident and experienced administrator. 

Receptionist Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome, all parents and visitors to the nursery in a warm and friendly manner.
• Comfortable working alone on the front reception desk ensuring the correct safeguarding 
• procedures are followed for all visitors to the nursery.
• Willing to follow clear processes and work as part of a team.
• Proactively monitoring and responding to emails and telephone inquiries quickly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming reception area.
• Be able to action all correspondence in a confidential manner. 
• Provide additional administrative support for the wider team when required.

• The successful applicant will live within a comfortable commuting distance of our school.
• Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal with a friendly and helpful manner, to represent the school in the best possible way.
• Excellent punctuality and attendance record are crucial to this role as you are the first point of contact for all parents, staff, and visitors to our school and will be working alone at the front reception desk. 
• A minimum of one years’ experience working as a receptionist and administrator.
• Strong IT skills.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with parents and staff on a day to day basis.
• Extremely trustworthy and experienced in handling sensitive and confidential information.
