Job Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and teach high quality lessons within the seven areas of learning and development to pupils
  • Provide effective care, teaching that enables children to progress and be ready for school 
  • Provide accurate and productive student assessments and reports in line with the curriculum policy and assessment criteria 
  • Develop and provide lesson/teaching plans to the principal
  • Identify, compile and develop necessary teaching materials including worksheet, homework and exam paper
  • Provide pupils with classroom educational activities homework and assess their work, providing appropriate feedback or marking to encourage further improvement and progress
  • Check, coordinate and support the work of the teacher assistant and/or key person assigned to 
  • Attend PTC, meetings, consultations and respond to parental requests for information
  • Provide and promote the care, safety and well-being of the pupils with due regard for discipline, health and safety
  • Encourage exemplary behaviour and max attendance of all pupils and deal with disciplinary issues with support, where appropriate, from the management
  • Monitor, evaluate and review classroom practice and promote improvement strategies
  • Work with other colleagues to maintain a stimulating, safe and appropriate learning environment
  • Provide performance report to the head teacher 
  • Identify risk factors and report to the principal with actionable recommendations
  • Organise and coordinate pupils’ outing activities 

Minimum Qualification Requirements: 

  • Preschool setup and management skills 
  • Support and promote children’s early education and development 
  • Plan and provide effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school 
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment 
  • Develop effective and informed practice 
  • Safeguard and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils 
  • Work in partnership with the key person, colleagues, parents and/or caregivers or other professionals
