Early Years Manager

We are looking to recruit an Early Years Manager to join our team who is committed to ensuring the highest possible standards of care and education for all children in our busy setting.

The successful Early Years Manager will have:

  • a recognised qualification in childcare, equivalent to at least Level 3 (however a Degree would be advantageous
  • extensive experience of delivering an Early Years curriculum and, good knowledge of the Foundation Stage framework
  • excellent organisational and communication skills
  • a commitment to working in partnership with parents
  • previous experience of managing and motivating staff, would be desirable

You will be supported by an experienced Deputy Head of Early Years  and be part of a diverse team which includes a chef, house keeper and administrative support.

We are a social enterprise working in Waterloo and North Southwark, London SE1. From a derelict site in 1984, we have created a thriving, diverse, vibrant and welcoming ‘mixed use’ neighbourhood – a place for people to live, work and play.

Income that we generate is invested in the neighbourhood. It is used to improve and maintain our assets including managing and maintaining Bernie Spain Gardens and the riverside walkway, providing a range of programmes and activities for local people.

With 85 employees across nine teams, our ambition is to remain financially independent so that we are here for the long run, striving for high quality in all we do.

In return we can offer the new Early Years Manager :

  • 27 days’ annual leave (excluding bank holidays) pro rata for part time staff
