We are seeking to appoint Nursery Nurses/Support Assistants who are professional, dedicated and are focused on providing a child-centred approach to play based learning.

Newbridge School (Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ in all areas) has a dedicated EYFS provision for children with additional needs and delayed learning and is a growing organisation with plans to open a further EYFS provision in 2020. We can offer great opportunities for induction, specialist training and career progression in the area of SEND early years practice.

We pride ourselves on our fantastic specialist facilities that support the delivery of rich and stimulating learning experiences. We meet a wide range of individual needs, prioritising children’s transition and enabling them to settle so that they can access these learning opportunities and flourish in our positive, well-resourced provision.

We are looking for those who have the following attributes;

  • Appropriate childcare qualification - NNEB, BTEC or NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
  • Passionate and caring
  • Patient and resilient
  • Knowledge of EYFS – planning and delivery of high quality activities, observing and recording for assessment purposes
  • Keyworker skills and ability to liaise effectively with parents/carers
  • Good initiative
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • We invest in our own people and are as committed to their wellbeing, learning and development as we are to the children’s. We can offer you;
  • Comprehensive induction and mentoring package and 6 days per year of in-house training and development
  • Excellent career prospects and opportunities to gain specialised experience and additional qualifications
  • Excellent health and welfare support package
  • Additional long-service salary benefit after 5-years continued service
  • High staffing-pupil ratios in all Nursery Groups (above recommended ratios)
  • Family friendly working hours (Mon-Fri, 6hrs per day, term-time only)

Finally you must be prepared to feel special and important to many children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like it.

For further information about the role, please visit the school website at www.astrum-mat.org and download an application pack from the links in the recruitment area.

The school is committed to Safe Guarding and promoting the welfare of learners and young people and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment.

Completed application forms should be returned to Sonia Bansal – HR Officer at the Gresham Drive Campus or emailed to recruitment@astrum-mat.org by 12pm, Wednesday 3rd July 2019.

Closing Date: Wednesday 3rd July 2019
