The Play People are recruiting. We are looking for a number of experienced and qualified early year’s practitioners.
You will work as part of a team providing quality early years education through play supporting children to achieve their own unique potential. We are looking for individuals who are inquisitive, full of wonder, adventurous, happy and playful and understand how children develop best through play in a supportive and caring environment.

You must have:
A minimum of NVQ level 3 or higher in early years or an equivalent diploma
2 years recent experience of working in a teaching nursery for children aged 2 to 4 years
Sound knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED framework and standards and how to implement them in an early years setting
Ability to establish supportive partnerships, which empower parents/carers and support children
Ability to work on own initiative and as an effective team member
Excellent communication skills
Enthusiastic and passionate about children’s development
Ability to work to targets and deadlines

The nursery is open term time only for children. This position is for 35 hours per week.
Location
Our existing provision is in a purpose built nursery within York Gardens Children Centre in Batttersea, SW11. The nursery is within walking distance of Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town with excellent transport links and limited free parking. The setting was graded outstanding by Ofsted in June 2017.
Our new provision will be located in the Yvonne Carr Children Centre in SW8. The large and thriving centre has a wonderful purpose built nursery with a large garden. The nursery has excellent transport links and limited free parking and will be managed by a very experienced manager from our original setting.

Background checks and a DBS will be required. Job offers will be dependent on a clear DBS check and 2 valid and up to date references.
