About the nursery:

Our aim over the years has been to provide excellent care and education for our children. We provide stimulating and warm environments and offer the highest standard of service to all our service users.

Our nurseries are well equipped in bright stimulating environments.

• Open Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm except for bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year and a week over Easter.

We offer the 2, 3 and 4 year government funding.

Knowledge and Skills

  • You will need to demonstrate effective time and resource management to meet the planned needs of children and families and any demands which the post may demand.
  • Knowledge, understanding and practical experience of working with under 8s within a nursery setting in child development and parenting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations, EYFS, etc. Able to work independently and as part of a team and to manage own time efficiently Ability to develop an effective team, and is proactive and a self-starter
  • Warm and caring personality – friendly and approachable to families
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • Commitment to equal opportunities for all children and families
  • Qualified to Level 3 in Childcare.        
  • Excellent understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding procedures
  • Good knowledge of Ofsted and the new Inspection Criteria
  • The ability to implement and manage change

Person Specification/Qualifications

  • A full and relevant minimum level 3 qualification and/or Early Years degree.
  • Relevant safeguarding/child protection training with experience, and a willingness to update training regularly.
  • Professional, enthusiastic and hard working
  • A genuine love of children
  • Confident communication skills with children and adults
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • We provide First Aid, Health & Safety and Safeguarding Training

Main responsibilities:

  • To provide a safe and secure environment for the children

We require:-

  • 1 person to work 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday – Term time only
  • 1 person to work on a job share 8am to 2pm – Term time only
  • 1 Qualified (NVQ 2/3) or Unqualified Term time only

This may suit a newly qualified person eager to gain experience in a lovely nursery with lots of support and guidance.
