Early Years Teacher and Practitioners 

We are looking for passionate teachers and practitioners to join our growing team. The nursery is well established and promotes the highest level of care and education to  50 children aged 2-4 in Central London. We are looking for a nursery practitioner to join us from September 2019.

The Role:

This role is within a two-year-olds room and is on a full time and permanent contract.

The nursery operates on 42 weeks per annum plus two additional holiday weeks.

Working hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with one late afternoon until 5 or 6pm.

A minimum of Level 3 qualification is desirable as well as good experience working in independent nurseries.

Some of the responsibilities are:

  • To contribute towards the development of the school ethos and its Aims and Objectives.
  • Use your knowledge of the EYFS to provide a broad curriculum with a balance of child initiated and adult led activities.
  • To monitor the planning and assessment system with Next Steps and the documentation of children’s learning and provide feedback.
  • To oversee that starting points are completed for children when they start at the setting as a basis for their future learning and development.
  • To complete diaries and ensure that progress checks are carried out as required.
  • To demonstrate your skills as a reflective practitioner when analysing data collated from monitoring and assessment data.
  • To carry out regular peer observations on staff and provide feedback.
  • To assist with staff supervisions and appraisals.
  • To support families at all times and encourage them to be involved in their child’s learning
  • To have an open door policy approach with parents when verbally exchanging information about their children.
  • To support the needs of school management and have a flexible approach to additional tasks as required.
