Nursery Room Leader

A newly open private day nursery near to Balham in SW London are looking to recruit a dynamic Nursery Room Leader. This nursery is easily commutable from Streatham, Merton, Morden and surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for the right dedicated person to lead the team in offering the best learning environment and outcomes for the children in the setting.

The post is working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday full time.

Responsibilities of a Nursery Room Leader will include:

• Lead the team within the room and offer support to individual team members where required.
• Implement the EYFS and deliver best practice.
• Provide high standards of quality within the room which will include the environment, resources and the experiences offered to the children.
• To lead planning and maintain accurate children’s records.
• To promote partnerships with parents/carers and other family members.
• To follow company policies and procedures and comply with current relevant legislation.
• To work closely with the manger to monitor children’s learning and development and work to close learning gaps identified.
• To be consistent in monitoring the key workers and the learning experiences.
• To have a sound knowledge of SEND and Safeguarding procedures.

In order to be considered for the position of Nursery Room Leader you will need a minimum Level 3 in Childcare qualification.
