Details of the role:

Permanent Positions - These roles are based at Comberton Children's Centre

Maternity Position - This role is based at Linden Children’s Centres.

At Hackney Learning Trust, we know just how exciting Hackney's future looks. A future that's largely going to be determined by today's younger generation - the very people we're working so hard to help and develop. Through our Children’s Centre and in partnership with many other exciting local initiatives, we deliver early year’s education and integrated services across Hackney and you can help us build on this potential.

We are looking to appoint  Nursery Education Officers to join our outstanding team to improve the outcomes for children in Hackney. Your role will be to help us achieve a safe, healthy and stimulating environment where activities enable children to grow and develop in line with good practice standards. As an excellent communicator, you will need to be enthusiastic and commented to rising standards.

We believe that every child is unique and born with their own creative potential. We aim to support our diverse community of children and families to achieve their aspirations and we work in partnership with a range of services, to provide a welcoming, safe and open environment.

This is an ideal position for an experienced professional looking to be an integral part of a team within a setting that provides an outstanding personal service to diverse families in the community. Significant professional experience of working within a culturally diverse educational childcare environment is essential. You must have good interpersonal and relationship building skills and possess good assessment skills.

An NVQ3 qualification in childcare learning & development or equivalent is essential for this role.  You will be required to work flexible hours as the centre operates a shift system.
