Hours: 9am-6pm Monday to Friday

We have been awarded Ofsted Outstanding in our nursery and are looking for a committed experienced Deputy Manager to work in our lovely friendly Nursery.  This is a job of responsibility to ensure a high quality care and outcomes for the children in their care each day.  We have been awarded Millies Mark in First Aid, and the Gold award for Healthy Early Years in Tri Borough area.

We value our staff, and invest in their training and development.  A large proportion of our team have been with us for over 10 years and we are a London Living Wage Employer.

We require the Deputy to support the Manager in Mentoring,  Supervisions and appraisals of staff, implementing the new Ofsted Inspection Framework  this September and  working with staff to offer “Outstanding” practice throughout the nursery . Your role will be to include training and development of the staff team, whilst demonstrating “outstanding practice “ in the room.

You would work part time in the classroom and part time on Staff Development and Training.

This post requires you to have good communication skills and in-depth knowledge of EYFS and ability to write Learning journeys and observations to a good standard independently.  You would also be required to assess and check your team’s assessments and observations.

We use the I connect assessment package, so knowledge of this or similar applications would be an advantage.

You must be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 or above.

English must be of a high standard both verbally and written.

Childcare experience and a loving relationship with the children is required.

You would be working within an established experienced and happy team.  They are looking for someone who reaches their own high standards of care and help them grow.  Hopefully you will fit the bill!
