Nursery Apprentice

Apprenticeship opportunities to work with a successful childcare provider

We are based in Custom House in East London. As an established setting in Newham, we are recruiting for apprentices who have completed a level 2 in childcare to work in our baby room, toddler room and pre-school room.

Must have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in order to be considered for the position. Experience of working in a nursery setting is desirable.

The role involves:

• Working as part of a team as a key person in a caring and nurturing environment.
• Working in partnership with parents and other external professionals to meet the varied needs of the children.

Qualifications and experience:

• Must have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in order to be considered for the position.
• Recent experience of working in a nursery setting.
• Knowledge and understanding of the revised EYFS is desirable.
• You will need to have a good command of spoken and written English.
• An enhanced DBS check will be carried out.
• Previous training, for example in paediatric first aid, safeguarding, SEN, food hygiene, health and safety and first aid at work are advantageous.
