  •        Opening Times:  8 PM -6PM

  Situated in East Dulwich, our Gumboots Nursery is a busy and vibrant nursery with an outstanding reputation with families in the local community. The nursery is situated in a purpose-built building and has four play rooms, each with direct access to one of our 3 outdoor areas.

  LEYF are seeking a Room Leader who can match our approach to learning which always puts the child first. There is a strong focus on children's interests, achievements and what they need to learn next which our new Room Leader should be able to encourage and support through the team.

  Leadership is exceptionally strong in this Nursery. The management and staff team are committed to continuous improvement and our new room leader should champion the team to take on challenges and give them confidence to reach their potential.

  The children enjoy regular visits to the local shops, The Horniman Museum and Peckham Rye Park to understand their community and are often praised for their good manners, social skills and independence.

  About you:

• Full and relevant child care qualification at level 2 or above.

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and how this is monitored in a nursery setting.

• At least 6 months experience working in an early year's setting

• To value holistic methods of teaching and champion heuristic problem solving in our children.

• To encourage a supportive team atmosphere and the ability to work together in a positive and compassionate way.

• To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others.

• To understand the prime areas of the EYFS and be imaginative in their planning.

• To have a passion for making a difference in their communities.

• A child centred approach to teaching using creative and exciting methods to engage and stimulate
