Job Details

Linden Tree Nursery Schools are 3 small Froebelian nursery schools in the Clapham/Battersea area of South West London.

We are looking for a new Deputy Manager at our Lavender Hill Nursery to be room and office based.

You will already have some experience of managing staff in a Nursery room and understand the busy day nursery environment and enjoy those challenges. You must have an professional work ethic, be hard working whilst maintaining appropriately friendly relationships, and possess the ability to emotionally engage the staff team; we aim to maintain half of the staff in our company as Graduates.

We will support you with our dedicated Head Office team nearby and train you in Froebel practice. You can become a key part of one of London's most innovative, truly independent nursery groups. 

We are small, bespoke nursery schools, each with a maximum capacity of only 37 children. All of our settings have been designed to create an organised and calm environment, with a garden for our children to grow and develop through the Froebelian approach. Each nursery school has local access to green spaces, community amenities and wider expeditions planned throughout the year.

We have a dedicated Training Manager who encourages the wider team to build and develop their practice, within the Froebelian approach, in order to create excellence.

Our opening hours are 8am until 6.30pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on all Bank Holidays, 2 Inset days, one Staff Appreciation afternoon, Christmas Eve and for the week between Christmas.

Benefits

Salary: £25,000 to £28,500 depending on experience and qualifications

Holiday: 33 days (inc. 8 days bank holiday) per annum

40 hour week plus 5 hours paid lunch break

Requirements

Ideally you will have a degree but minimum L3 or Level 5 Management qualification in Early Years and/or Education and Child Care

At least three years’ management experience in a nursery 

Passion and strive to think outside the box for future educational development with the nursery schools

Must have the right to work in the UK, no convictions or cautions, clear DBS
