Salary: up to 20.5K

Hours: 40 hours a week

Qualification: Relevant Level 3 qualification (preferred).

Duties: 

As an Early Years Educator at Woodlands you will be responsible for supporting and working closely with our Nursery Room Leader. You will assist with the daily running of the room as well as plan stimulating and educational activities for the children to enjoy. You will help children and their families settle into the nursery. As a key person within the setting you will be responsible for observing and tracking the children’s development. 

Specific Duties: 

Daily you will be expected to help children with feeding, toileting, getting clothed and any other physical needs. You will ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and relaxed. You must be able to Identify and report signs of a child feeling unwell. Identify neglect and recognise if an injury seems non-accidental. Report accidents to the Nursery Manager or their deputy if absent, record accidents in the appropriate manner, ensure a parent is fully informed.

Qualifications and experience: 

• A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (Preferred)
• Minimum 1 year post qualifying experience 
• Up to date first aid and safeguarding training
• Good knowledge of child protection procedures and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Passion for delivering high quality childcare and learning
• Exceptional communication skills, energy and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Team player
