Term Time working:  39 weeks per year plus 3 weeks

Salary:  £19,059 per annum - pro rated for 10 hours per week with possible future increase.

An exciting opportunity to work with Home-Start Essex

We are seeking a Family Group Worker for 10 hours per week who will be responsible for delivering our Family Group support service in the Basildon, Castle Point & Rochford areas.

Home-Start Essex is a leading family support organisation that provides high-quality family-led services for those with children under 8 years old. By offering a range of services we support families to overcome a range of issues such as anxiety, isolation, domestic abuse, mental health, financial stress, school readiness.

We offer a weekly Family Group in several areas in Essex for our supported families to help them to develop and feel more confident with parenting and school readiness.  We provide a programme of advice, support, and the opportunity to meet other parents in a welcoming, non-judgmental environment. 

We are seeking a professional Family Group Worker to manage and lead our Family Group in the Basildon, Castle Point & Rochford areas.

The successful candidate must have NVQ level 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education (or equivalent qualification) and the relevant experience of running groups and projects and manage a team. 

Experience of working with parents and/or families and the use of own car (expenses paid) is essential.

Salary:                         £19,059 per annum pro-rated for part time hours
Working hours:          10 hours per week for 42 weeks per year.

There may be a possibility to increase weekly hours in the future depending on funding opportunities, so please bear this in mind in your application.

An enhanced DBS check and suitable references are also required.
