 Maternity Cover post for an Early Years Educator role

To work 36 hours per week

Monday-Friday- Term Time only

Early Years Educator roles will be paid at Grade 5, Scale point 13 – 15, FTE £25,590 - £26,520 (pro-rata term time only)

This is a fixed term contract until May 2021 covering maternity leave.

Role Description and Personal Specification

Purley Nursery School and Governors are looking to appoint an experienced, outstanding Early Years practitioner with a proven track record of working in a Local Authority maintained Nursery School.

Purley Nursery School offers a play-based, child-centred and developmentally appropriate curriculum from 8a.m. to 6 p.m. It is a fully inclusive school and integrates education and day-care across the whole day and year.

The successful candidate will have high-level understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and have all the necessary skills and qualities to be a key worker with full responsibility for planning and assessment for a group of 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

Candidates must be able to work on a flexible basis between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the school term. Opportunities may be available to work in the Holiday Playscheme provision – run every holiday except Christmas (subject to COVID-19 Government guidelines).

The candidate must be hard-working, energetic and committed to working as part of a team with a can-do attitude and welcoming challenge.
